Compassionate Adelaide-born GP, Dr Laura Kambuts combines expertise in family, women’s, and children’s health care.
Born and raised in Adelaide, Dr Laura Kambuts moved to Victoria to complete her medical degree at Deakin University. After completing her studies she begin training to become a Paediatrician at the Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne, however had a change of heart and decided General Practice was better suited to her family life.
Laura also has a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG) through the Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne and can assist with IUD insertion (mirena and kyleena), implanon insertion and Obstetric Shared Care. Prior to studing Medicine, Laura worked for many years as a Podiatrist in Adelaide.
Laura works across all aspects of General Practice and has a particular interest in Paediatrics, Women’s Health (including IUD insertion — Mirena, Kyleena and copper), LGBTQIA+ Health, Emergency Department work and toenail surgery.
Her spare time is spent chasing after her two young children. And getting involved in the local commuity sporting clubs.

Dr Laura Kambuts is passionate about protecting athletes’ brain health. Concussion Matters is an upcoming initiative offering baseline concussion screening for local sporting clubs, helping players, coaches, and families understand and manage head injuries safely.
